CLX Caprini is an application based on the model created by Professor Joseph A. Caprini for the evaluation and weighting of the main risk factors for VTE (Venous Thromboembolic Disease) of patients undergoing surgical procedures, which provides the recommended antithrombotic prophylaxis regimen for each risk level. This model has been included as one of the reference models in the recent update of the American College of Chest Physician (ACCP) 2012 guidelines for the Prevention and Treatment of VTE.
